Abstract

A ease of Histiocytosis - X involving lower right jaw and cervical lymph node in 2 years old infant is presented. Radiographic examination revealed a poorly defined, cystic and/or moth-eaten radio-lucency of the molar region of the right side of mandiile. Histologic examination of enlarged lymph node and curretments revealed granulomatous tissues, composed of sheets of histiocytes, containing a focal infiltrate of eosinophils. Small areas of necrosis were present. The pathologic diagnosis was Histiocytosis X. The pathologic and clinical findings of the lesion suggested a diagnosis of Hand-Schfi ler-Christian disease.
